Windows 7: On Track to Hit This Holiday Season
Oh, my! I am so excited to hear this! The one point of focus on this release is quality and you can tell. They even mention in the blog post that the top priority still remain QUALITY. This is very reassuring and make me very happy. Even though I like Vista I feel that they missed the boat on that release. It felt new and somewhat refreshing but it didn’t meet the potential that I felt it could have. The installation and operation of Windows 7 feels new and very refreshing. From the taskbar to the multiple monitor support. You can tell that much though has been taken into the new taskbar and in how you can now handle your multiple monitors. In case you don’t know you can move a window from one monitor to another by pressing the “Windows Key + Shift + Right / Left Arrow”. This quick key combo allows you to very quickly move an application to another monitor. I use this all the time and miss this feature when I am at work using Vista. You can also maximize a window by dragging the title bar to the top of the screen. You can place two documents side by side by dragging one windows title bar to the left side of the monitor and the other windows title bar to the right side of the monitor. Once you do this the windows will be side by side using the full screen.
