Bobby the programmer

My name is Bobby Cannon. I’m a software engineer. How did I become a software engineer? I’m glad you asked because I wanted to tell you. I started my career interested in electronics. I learned basic electronics at B.J. Skelton career center and worked five years in the hardware repair industry. Having an interest in computers and the software that empowered them, I left the electronic repair industry to become a software tester. While trying to find problems in others software, I found a passion that still burns today.
I realized that I would rather be the one writing the software instead of testing it. I taught myself how to program in a language called VB6. I soon out grew the power of that language and it required me to learn other more powerful languages. Currently my favorite language is C#.
I spend every day looking to become a better me. If it’s not learning about some new technology, I’m in my gym seeing if I can lift just 5 more pounds. Yes that’s right I’m a software engineer and an amateur body builder. I’m not quite ready to give up some of my diet to become a real committed body builder. I have changed my frame from a skinny pencil necked nerd to a pretty stout but still skinny nerd. I’m still working on it.

April the beautiful wife
I started my career interested in customer service in an office environment. I took a business course at B.J. Skelton Career Center, and started out in an office as a Customer Service Rep. While being a CSR, I developed a desire to become an Office Manager. Being a goal oriented person, I set my sites on manager and achieved my goal after six years of working at the company I am currently with.
