I've taken a short break on WoW. This last week I really didn't play the game that much. I did our 25m ICC run so the guild wouldn't have to find another healer. During this short break I missed a raid that I had "accepted" and if you play WoW then you know what that means. People were a little upset that I wasn't there. If you sign up for a raid you better be there. I thought I had accepted as "Tentative" which then it would have been OK.
I wanted to be sure that I had access to this information easier without having to log into WoW. I thought it would be nice if I could add this to Outlook. Sure enough you can do exactly that. Take a look! The items in blue are my normal calendar and the items in green are on my WoW calendar. You can see the Midsummer Fire Festival at the top.

Now I will never miss a raid and I have my WoW calendar at my finger tips. How kewl is that? EPIC!
How I did it
First you need to go to wowarmory.com and sign in. Select the character you would like to monitor. Open the character's calendar. You should see an RSS feed icon in the upper right. It will look like this.

Click on the RSS feed icon and you will see a list of options for the calendar feed. You can select many options and multiple characters to monitor. Select the options and characters then click the "Copy to Clipboard" button in the lower left.
Open Outlook then select calendar. Now right click in the calendar list to add a new calendar from the internet.

Paste the calendar RSS link that you have in the clipboard into the next dialog. The next prompt will ask if you want to subscribe to updates. Click Yes to subscribe so the calendar will be updated.
That's all there is to it. Now you will have all your WoW events right in your Outlook calendar.
